Handelsspexet 2013: The Sound of Money

Handelsspexet is a theatre show performed by SSE students.

​Handelsspexet is a theatre show that takes place yearly ever since the first performance of “Rabalder i Balders mage” in 1963. It is a show that offers its spectators more than just a play. It demands an interacting audience and in return it delivers a never-ending creative process full of humor, silliness and fun that always delivers above expectations.

Handelsspexet 2013 is a cross-over show that has something for everyone. The music and the characters are inspired by the beloved 1960s musical Sound of Music. We meet Maria, who is now an accountant, Kapten von Trapp who is now Kapten von Trump, owner and founder of seven companies around which the entire world economy revolves. His friend and foe, the banker Guldsaxen is the symbol of greed and his naive intern, who has just finished his studies at the Stockholm School of Economics, looks up to Guldsaxen. The financial crisis hits. The question is who stays and who goes.

Money, Love and Greed are the main themes of the show.
