Sesame™ Alcolock selected for Stockholm’s Red Line metro
Hök Instrument AB has signed a contract with Bombardier Transportation to supply Sesame™ RAIL (railway adapted interlock), for the Bombardier Movia C30 metro trains scheduled to be introduced on Stockholm Metro’s Red Line in 2017.
Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL) is purchasing 96 C30 trains with an option for up to an additional 80. SL selected Sesame due to its speed and ease-of-use. Every driver control panel will have an integrated Sesame breath tester, which the driver will use several times each day.
“Winning this long-term contract against traditional fuel cell alcolocks is a great springboard for us as we move forward with plans to launch the product in international markets.” said Raimo Gester, CEO, Hök Instrument AB.

The Sesame™ system for easy alcohol measurement makes premium infrared (IR) sensor technology available for in a quick, user-friendly product. A carbon dioxide sensor is used to check the quality of the breath test so accurate mouthpiece free testing becomes feasible, which transforms the usability for routine testing. Sesame is 100% designed and produced in Sweden.
