Considering traditional textiles as a source of information about the socio-historical context wherein they were produced, I try to reproduce this information in smart textiles. They are an attempt at combining factors related to textiles, such as; patterns, structure, materials and body with abstract ideas about movement, change, unpredictability and interrelated relationships between materials, environments, objects and actions.

Aesthetic expressions of hand-weaving are explored with the aim to evoke certain feelings by focusing on textile tactilities. "Haptic", "ambiguity" and "unexpected materiality" have been the leading concepts throughout the project.
