Oskar Pihlik - Award Winning Sommelier Join Vino Rosso & Co. as Head Sommelier

Vino Rosso & Co. today announced that Oskar Pihlik (34) is joining Vino Rosso & Co. as a Head Sommelier starting from March 1st, 2017.

Mr. Oskar Pihlik will provide a cornerstone for the Vino Rosso & Co. team through his substantial expertise and experience in regards the Baltic food & beverage industry as well as he brings in broad mastery of wine in general.

Mr. Pihlik´s background and track record as a young and successful Sommelier is truly unique and through his exceptional skill set, passion and network, he furthermore facilitates Vino Rosso & Co.´s ability to become one of the major wine providers in the Baltic- and Scandinavian markets.

Oskar Pihlik´s most recent achievements in the field of Sommelier competing are; 2nd position in the Sommelier Championships of Estonia 2016, and the 1st position in the Beer Sommelier Championships of Estonia 2015. He joins Vino Rosso & Co. from the renowned Tallinn Estonia restaurant ´Leib Resto ja Aed´.

About Oskar Pihlik
Oskar Pihlik (34) of Estonia, became a Sommelier in 2008 and up to date is one of the most successful young Sommeliers in Baltics. He started his career in the restaurant business already before becoming a Sommelier and once he concluded his sommelier studies he joined the renowned team of a 5-star boutique hotel ´Three Sisters´ in Tallinn Estonia where he, among others, served the Queen Beatrix of Netherlands and the King of Spain Juan Carlos. After he left Three Sisters, Oskar has been a part of several interesting restaurants as a sommelier and also is acting as an independent beer trainer for A´Le Coq brand. Most recently Oskar has been building his career as a Sommelier in one of the top Estonian restaurants ´Leib Resto ja Aed´. Oskar started competing in Sommelier competitions in 2008 and since then he has achieved several top placements in different type of championships, for example in the Sommelier Championships of Estonia 2016 he was the runner-up and in the Estonian Beer Sommelier Championships he has the placements 3rd, 2nd, and 1st throughout the years 2013-2015.
