Production of the P77 armchair, designed by Jonas Lindvall, has now started. The first deliveries will be in March. The chair has aroused a great deal of interest all over the world.
“Market response to the P77 has been amazing, not least from other countries such as Australia, USA and Japan. We have already received orders for a number of projects, including schools and restaurants,” say Paul and Dan Johanson.
This is the first time that Johanson Design has collaborated with designer Jonas Lindvall. The basic idea behind the P77 was to create a lightweight, comfortable, durable and stackable armchair at an unbeatable price. The chair comprises two parts that have been moulded together: a thin shell and a supporting core. Two types of plastic were required to create the feeling of surface softness while a thermosetting plastic was used for the core to provide stability.
The P77 has aluminium legs and weighs only 5 kg, which makes it an ideal choice for both private homes and public spaces. During the development work another goal was always perfectly clear - the P77 would be environmentally friendly. In fact, the chair is made of 100 percent recyclable material and the different plastics do not even have to be sorted separately.
Welcome to our stand at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, 7‒11 February, where you can inspect and try out the P77. Our stand number is A18:20.
