Tango workshop for musicians

One of the living tango legends, the Argentinian Roberto Siri and his orchestra start their European tour in September and come to Stockholm to give the first Tango workshop. Musicians who want to learn the authenticity of the tango styles are invited.

The course is for pianists, violinists, accordionists, bandonionists, contrabass players, singers and different melodic instruments. The students will have the material 30 days before the seminar to be able to prpare themselves.

The workshop will comprehend Tango styles of Major Orchestras such as Alfredo De Angelis, Carlos Di Sarli and Juan D Arienzo.

The students will meet three hours during three days for lessons and practice. On the fourth day, a Milonga is taking place and the participants, who will be previously selected by Maestro Siri, will perform together with the ensembles and orchestras.

Times and dates: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6 pm – 9 pm – On Thursday the entrance to the Milonga is for free for the participants to the workshop. The cost of the course is 1500 SEK

About Roberto Siri

Roberto Siri, born in 1939, began his piano studies at age five and at nine, on request of his father Luis, he also studied bandoneon with Eladio Blanco who played in the legendary Juan D’Arienzo orchestra. Roberto Siri has worked with numerous tango musicians ever since and was founder of young tango orchestras, creating and spreading the passion of this music.
