Oil and Gas UK’s puts Supply Chain Safety First!

Large congregations of supply chain representatives and Oil and Gas UK’s representatives will be meeting tomorrow.

Discussion in the meeting will be based around coming work to be done in the North Sea.

Stephen Marcos Jones, Oil and Gas UK’s director of business excellence, said: “We are delighted to have the participation of representatives from major purchasing companies including Chrysaor, Nexen Petroleum UK Limited and Stork, who will be on hand to help suppliers gain deeper insights into the expertise, services and goods they require for forthcoming offshore projects.”

This reciprocal acknowledgement of the buyer-supplier relationship is a fantastic tactic to build supplier trust before beginning the long and costly project. This management of supplier relationships displays the value in mutual understanding and collaboration with suppliers.
