Kodiak Rating tar in 12 miljoner - siktar på internationell expansion

Kodiak Rating, som grundades 2016, har utvecklat en software as a service (SaaS)-lösning, som förenklar och effektiviserar samarbetet mellan kund och leverantör oavsett var i världen de befinner sig. Plattformen ger företag tillgång till en helt ny typ av beslutsunderlag och analyser om aktörer i leverantörskedjan. På bara något år har Kodiak Rating skaffat sig flera stora kunder, som Bravida, Höganäs och Perstorp, samtidigt som de blivit utsedda till ett av Nordens mest innovativa bolag i “Serendipity Challenge 2017”.

Efter en avslutad investeringsrunda blir det idag offentligt att Kodiak Rating tar in 12 miljoner, som företaget planerar att använda för att öka sin tillväxt och expandera till nya europeiska marknader.

– Fram tills nu har vi finansierat vår egen tillväxt och vuxit med nya kunder. Den här investeringen kommer att ge oss ytterligare möjligheter att expandera till nya marknader, samtidigt som vi kan fortsätta utvecklingen av vår plattform med ny teknologi, säger Malin Schmidt, VD och grundare av Kodiak Rating.

Di Digital har rapporterat om att endast 4% av riskkapitalet under 2017 gick till bolag med kvinnliga grundare. Stefan Bengtsson ser positivt på att förbättra den statistiken.

- Vårt investeringsbeslut grundas på en strikt affärsmässig bedömning av bolagets marknadspotential, produktens innovationshöjd och teamet på plats. Malin är en målfokuserad, affärsinriktad och verkställande grundare som har satt samman sitt lag med kompletterande och blandade kompetenser. Det är en förutsättning för att nå framgång idag.

It’s today, publicly official; Kodiak Rating has finished off their first fundraising-round, championed by the family office – Race Craft Holding AB together with existing owner, Anders Eriksson. Marking this close of Kodiak Rating’s first round of investment- securing the tech growth-venture 12M SEK in capital.

Kodiak Rating plans to use the investment to enhance its rapid growth and expansion into new European markets.

Only 4% of Swedish VC funding was invested in companies with female founders, in 2017, as reported by Di Digital. Stefan Bengtsson, believes there is reason to improve that statistic.

“Our decision to invest was based upon a strict assessment of the business’ potential, and the simple fact is – Kodiak Rating is a powerful product backed by an innovative team. Malin is a goal-oriented, business savvy and executive founder that has put together a team with complementary and diverse competencies. This is the necessary for creating future success in today’s market,” adds Bengtsson.

Closing out their first investment round in this fashion furthers Kodiak Rating’s ability to ensure their central promise of creating shared value for their customers, industry and society at large.
