“Morning Dew on the Field of Surrender”

Dina Isæus-Berlin is searching within the act of painting for something she calls the Event, that occurs only when you stop looking for it. It’s a trust exercise between her and the surface. Or between her and cosmos. The Event is worth waiting for. When it happens it feels like everything is new again.

As a beholder we get to touch a mind, in the feeling of a morning breeze, a pause from the consistent stream of thoughts.

“Morning Dew on the Field of Surrender” is an investigation of a consciousness and shows marks in large-scale oil paintings. Isæus-Berlin's works breathe almost a spiritual atmosphere in the exhibition space. They seem to stand outside the frames of judgement – and are still moist from the Event.
