Kraftö Vind complete the sale of the 47 MW Grimsås wind farm to Marguerite Fund

The Swedish wind power developer Kraftö has, together with its joint venture partner Element Power, completed the sale of their 46.8 MW wind farm project Grimsås to the Marguerite Fund. Element Power has subcontracted Kraftö taking on Construction Management responsibility for the Project.

Once constructed, the wind farm, located 100 km east of Gothenburg, will comprise 13 Siemens SWT 3.6-130 WTGs with a tip height of 185 meters. The wind farm is expected to be commissioned in the second half of 2018. Civil engineering company Svevia is providing Balance of Plant services.

Kraftö are delighted to, in cooperation with Element Power, initiate construction of another large Swedish wind farm. We are very pleased to be part of Marguerite’s market entry and to demonstrate, via Grimsås,the strength of well-developed Scandinavian projects in this environment with challenging power and certificate prices”, says Fredrik A. Grimsås marks Marguerites’ first Scandinavian wind farm acquisition.

Bill Pierson, Managing Director of Marguerite Adviser S.A., added "We have been looking at investing in Swedish onshore wind for the last few years and believe this is the right project for Marguerite. We are happy to collaborate with Element Power and Kraftö who already have extensive construction and operation management experience in that sector and have shown strong commitment in developing the Grimsäs project."

Kraftö and Element Power were advised on the sale by Newsec, with Vinge acting as legal advisers.
