L´Oréal Professionnel for Giambattista Valli AW14
As is usual at every Fashion Week, Giambattista Valli chose Couvent des Cordeliers to present his Fall/Winter collection. A place the designer is particularly fond of and which he transforms every time. On the agenda today, three huge and very pretty pristine white shag carpets arranged in a U-shape that serve as the catwalk and, hanging from the ceiling, a suspended bridge of LED lights that gradually comes to life. All punctuated by pulsating instrumental music... This scenography is in complete contrast with Giambattista Valli’s designs, which have become truly poetic over the seasons. Among today’s highlights, we will remember the lace dresses, both white and a very pale pink, the macramé dresses and the sublime coats with fur linings. The black and white leopard print that opened the show is striking too, followed a little later by a flower print on a few silhouettes. As for the colors, standing out among the black, white and pink, we’re not about to forget his use of a lovely cherry red.

The words behind this shiny ponytail? “A girl, young, fresh, feminine, with a healthy head of hair preferably attached so that the clothes stand out.”The ponytail was therefore the obvious choice. But a ponytail not too high, otherwise the look could become too sporty. Orlando Pita’s idea: to position it quite low on the neck, and infuse it with maximum shine. Without forgetting to mark the lengths with a slight twist, to give the hair a sophisticated touch but without overdoing it.
