Using the hair as an extension of the designer’s visor accessory, Redken Global Styling Director Guido created a futuristic look at Akris’ Spring/Summer 2015 show in Paris. To achieve the minimalist style, Guidov used Pillow Proof Blow Dry express primer and satinwear 02 prepping blow-dry lotion before going over the hair with a flatiron, complementing the simple visors worn by each girl and enhancing the simple silhouette seen on the Akris runway.
"Akris is very nostalgic as a brand with their whole aesthetic being quite minimal, so here we created very simple, futuristic hair. I used Pillow Proof Blow Dry express primer to extend the blow dry and satinwear 02 prepping blow-dry lotion to create this very sleek look. Each girl is wearing a visor with the hair being part of the overall silhouette. The look feels a bit futuristic and clean, very minimalistic, with the hair being an accessory to the visor.”

Create the Look:
1. Thoroughly mist Pillow Proof Blow Dry express primer all over damp hair.
2. Apply a nickel-size amount of satinwear 02 prepping blow-dry lotion throughout damp hair and blow- dry straight with a paddle brush. Go over the hair with a flatiron.
3. To finish, comb hair straight back and apply forceful 23 super strength finishing spray for added hold.
