Dimitrov to Stockholm Open
On Sunday Grigor Dimitrov clinched the ATP Masters title in Cincinnati, to date the biggest win of his impressing career.
Today we are happy and proud to announce that Grigor Dimitrov will play Stockholm Open 2017.
The 26-year old Bulgarian is a longtime friend of Sweden and Stockholm Open, last year voted “Tournament of the Year” by the players on the ATP Tour.
For a few years Stockholm and the “Good-to-Great Academy” was the base for the young Bulgarian who often refers to Stockholm as “a second home”.
And it was in the Royal Tennis Hall that Dimitrov won his maiden ATP Tour Title, defeating David Ferrer in the 2013 final of Stockholm Open. Since then, Dimitrov has played Stockholm Open every year.
The Cincinnati title bring Dimitrov back to the top-10 ranking, advancing two places to world number 9.
Stockholm Open is part of the international ATP Tour. Since 2010 the tournament is managed by Lagardère on behalf of The Royal Tennis Club, SALK and Stockholm Tennis Federation. Tournament dates 2017: October 15-22. Venue, The Royal Tennis Hall.
