Fitzpatrick to defend his title at the Nordea Masters

Matthew Fitzpatrick won his second European Tour title at Bro Hof Slott Golf Club last year as he eased to a three-shot victory at the Nordea Masters. He has since proven his position as one of Europe´s most talented players, finishing 6th on the Race to Dubai Order of Merit by the end of 2016. Matthew is now returning to the Swedish event Nordea Masters, this year played at Barsebäck Golf & Country Club close to Malmö, with the aim to defend his title; 

”I am delighted to be returning to the Nordea Masters as last year’s win provided a huge stepping stone for me to go on and have a very successful season. Also, I have heard great things about Barseback Golf & Country Club so I am really looking forward to the challenge of defending my title,” Matthew Fitzpatrick said.

Since more than 25 years, the Nordea Masters represents one of the most popular events on the European Tour, both amongst spectators and the players. The great atmosphere at the tournament each year attracts crowds of more than 70,000 over the week. The tournament with its long history is this year returning to beautiful Barsebäck for the tenth time. The venue staged the event most recently in 2009.
