L.Brador gives a second life to used workwear – donates work trousers to the Balkans

During the spring, L.Brador conducted a collection activity to give a second life to used workwear. Professional craftsmen in the Nordic countries have been invited to donate their used work trousers, which are then sent to exposed areas in great need of workwear. In total, more than 1100 pairs of trousers were donated and in collaboration with the aid organisation Human Bridge, L.Brador is now presenting the donated trousers to aid workers working with the rehabilitation of the flood-affected Balkans. 

The L.Brador workwear brand has, in collaboration with 135 construction and industry retailers in the Nordic countries, participated in the collection of used work trousers from professional craftsmen.

The great interest in donating their used work trousers and doing good at the same time, has been beyond expectation. In total, approximately 1100 pairs of work trousers have been donated, of which approximately 800 pairs of trousers have been sent further for collection after sorting and wash.

-  We are very grateful for the positive response we have received from everyone who has helped to donate clothing that can be reused and do good in other countries.  "The commitment to do something good has been great and many shops have been inquiring into the possibility to extend the collection period", says Roger Rasmussen, Brand Manager at L.Brador.

The Balkans in great need of workwear
In collaboration with the aid organisation Human Bridge, the work trousers will now be presented to areas where the demand for secure workwear is great. Earlier this year, the Balkans suffered major flooding. The first shipment will now go to the aid workers who work with the rehabilitation of the affected areas.

Human Bridge has extensive experience of working with textiles that can continue to do good in areas of need. "Together, we plan follow-up initiatives and our hope is to already in the autumn hold similar collections for those in need in other affected countries", concludes Roger Rasmussen.
