Miltenyi Biotec opens its new Nordic subsidiary

The Miltenyi Biotec Norden AB office introduces greater customer support and consultation in the Nordic and Baltic regions

Bergisch Gladbach, Germany – Miltenyi Biotec, a global provider of products and services for biomedical research and cellular therapy, announces today the opening of its newest subsidiary, Miltenyi Biotec Norden AB. Located in Lund, Sweden, Miltenyi Biotec Norden AB will service countries in the Nordic and Baltic regions, including Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

 Miltenyi Biotec Norden AB commences business activity on July 1, 2012. The new Nordic office will manage and oversee direct distribution of all Miltenyi Biotec products as well as all sales, marketing, customer support, and technical support for the region. 

 “We are very excited as we see great potential in the Nordic market, and together with our excellent team in place, I am confident that we will have a successful future in the region,” says Peter Norin, General Manager, Miltenyi Biotec Norden AB. “For all of our Nordic customers, both existing and future, this new location will mean better customer support, more convenient consultation, and a stronger business relationship.”

 The new Nordic office is Miltenyi Biotec’s twelfth subsidiary as it continues to expand globally into new markets. Prior to July 1, 2012, distribution of Miltenyi Biotec products in the Nordic and Baltic regions was managed by Fisher Scientific, who has worked closely with Miltenyi Biotec to ensure an uninterrupted transition.
