Pressmeddelande -

Swedish indie artist Kristian Anttila guest appearing on his own song

Electronica duo Stugan were to release a cover of Kristian Anttilas "Hisingen - Manhattan", but in the end the Swedish indie artist put his own voice on this version too.

This recording is very different compared to the post-rock flavoured original, released in 2012. The Stugan interpretation is an electronic retake with obvious hints to e.g. OMD, New Order, Kraftwerk and the Pet Shop Boys.

The electronic references came naturally since the two Stugan members, Peter Marchione & Michael Strandtoft, grew up during the golden era of electronic pop. It also turned out that Kristian Anttila was a big OMD fan as a child.

The track is available via all common streaming services and attached below are direct links to Soundcloud, Spotify, Youtube and iTunes.

The track was recorded using the Steinberg VST Connect; a technology making it possible to remote record musicians via the internet. While Anttila performed the vocals in his studio in Gothenburg, Stugan recorded them in their studio in Eskilstuna. In the very same way also other musicians were recorded, like e.g. Stefan Eriksson (Brotherhood) who put both guitars and bass on the tune.
