MTG hires Co-founder of Avanza Bank as Chief Information Officer

MTGx, the digital accelerator of leading international entertainment group Modern Times Group, today announced that Ronnie Bodinger joins MTG as Chief Information Officer starting today.

Ronnie takes on the role as Chief Information Officer and will be responsible for the systems that drive the Group’s consumer facing online services in all MTGs territories, reporting to Rikard Steiber, Chief Digital Officer MTG and CEO MTGx/Viaplay.

Ronnie has worked in the banking and IT industry throughout his professional career. He was a founder of Avanza Bank and has since its inception in 2000 led all technical development as the companys´s CIO. That means that Ronnie has started a bank, a fund company and an insurance company from scratch. Before Avanza, he worked for Ericsson Business Networks and developed a VOD platform and multimedia service.
