MTGx launches MediaFactory 2015

MTGx, the digital accelerator of leading international entertainment group Modern Times Group announced today that it is launching MediaFactory 2015. The startup partnership program is built on last year’s success, which among others involved US companies MobCrush, Vadio and Fuiz Media that all successfully completed new rounds of financing and show strong growth.

- MTGx MediaFactory is looking for innovative combinations of mobile, social and video centric services with international potential that captures our imagination across eSport, influencer marketing and online video, says Rikard Steiber, CEO MTGx and Chief Digital Officer MTG.

Have fun, Do good and Push forward

The MediaFactory 2015 program includes coaching, industry networking and 50 000 USD in funding for the development needed as part of the three months program. This year the focus will be on three themes: Have fun, Do good and Push forward.

Have fun is about finding new tech to create engaging experiences in eSport and the winner can be a part of the next Viagame House Cup – the world’s largest Hearthstone tournament. Simon Sundén, Head of content for eSports at MTGx, will mentor the program.

Do good is about using influencers and technology to support and build ambassadors for social causes. This will be done in cooperation with Kinnevik’s social entrepreneur program Reach for Change. Mentor will be Vigor Sörman, CEO and founder of Splay.

Push forward is all about next generation online video, looking for new ways to monetize and deliver video entertainment. Rikard Steiber, CEO MTGx and Chief Digital Officer of MTG will mentor this initiative.

The program will open for applicants from across the globe on 1st of June and launched during the fall of 2015.
