NENT Studios makes EPIQ investment

NENT Studios, part of Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group), is expanding its scripted content production footprint in the Nordic region, and its presence in the fast growing Danish creative market, by becoming the majority owner of Copenhagen-based international drama production company EPIQ.

EPIQ was founded by director and producer Anders Dalgaard, one of the founders of independent TV production company Monday Media ApS. EPIQ is co located in Copenhagen and Los Angeles, where executive producer Robert Hull and producer Cecil Brent O’Connor are collaborative partners.

EPIQ will use the funds raised for its experienced creative team to focus on developing further original content and acquiring attractive content rights.

EPIQ has developed a range of original projects in financed development, as well as the film rights to several books with international potential. EPIQ recently secured the international film rights for Carsten Jensen’s bestselling novel ‘The First Stone’ (‘Den første sten’) from Aitken Alexander Associates Ltd in London in collaboration with Copenhagen Literary Agency.
