Nobel shortlisted for Golden Rose
The nice drama series Nobel is shortlisted as one of the worlds four best drama series as the nominations for the Rose d’Or Awards 2017 were announced this week.
The drama series from Monster Scripted in Norway competes with giants such as The Crown, The Night Manager and The Young Pope in the category Best Drama Series.
”Being nominated as the only non-English series and in competition with these amazing shows, is truly an honour”, says Executive Producer and CEO Monster Scripted, Håkon Briseid.
Nobel places a dramatic conspiracy plot in the middle of Norway’s war in Afghanistan and at the center of the world’s most famous humanitarian prize. Politics and social commentary are combined in this gripping thriller produced by Monster Scripted. The 8 episode series aired for the first time on Norwegian Public Broadcaster NRK, and is currently available on the streaming service Netflix in most countries all over the world.

Over 430 programmes from more than 160 broadcasters and production companies were submitted for this year’s 56th annual Rose d’Or award. The ceremony will be held in Berlin on 19 September, organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
“We’re thrilled that the Rose d’Or has once again attracted a huge amount of interest from the global entertainment community,” said EBU Head of Television and Rose d’Or organiser Jeroen Depraetere.
“The fantastic creativity on show this year has meant our juries have had a tough job selecting the 40 nominees competing to win a Rose d’Or trophy in Berlin.
