New Key Account Manager for the Nordics

Since mid August Liam has been a welcomed addition to the team at the Stockholm office. Liam has got 10 years+ experience from the business area and as buyer at Elkjøp/El Giganten, one of our largest customers. Since August Liam has been travelling a lot in the Nordics to meet both new customers and old contacts. Among others, Dennis Busk, Buyer Computing at Elkjøp Norway. Seen below at the visit at the new Elkjøp HQ in Nydalen. 

New vendor in our portfolio - Urbanista

Our latest product company is the appreciated earphone brand Urbanista. Seen below in yellow/green is the "Boston Urban Highlight" wireless sport earbuds (6 h of listening and water resistant). In blue is the "Berlin Blue Petroleum" everyday earphones for wireless freedom (4,5 h of listening). Both earphones can be charged by Micro USB in only 1 - 1,5 hour. The brand is born out of a passion for color, form and a mobile lifestyle with a design rooted in the Scandinavian tradition. Today Urbanista is covering 80 markets, with products sold by over 10 000 retailers around the globe, like Harrods, Selfridges, Nordstrom and Urban Outfitters amongst others.

New vendor in our portfolio - LuMee

Seen on Instagram under the tagline "Light to Capture Life's Best Moments" LuMee have made a great success. With two strong lights on the backside of the cover boosting the camera, it's not hard to take the perfect selfie anymore. Which is probably the reason why even Kim Kardashian wanted one! Seen below is the "LuMee Duo Marble" for the new iPhone 8.

The Apple Conference at the 12th of September 

One of the things we look forward to the most, is the future world of wireless charging. The Apple conference really made clear that wireless charging now isn't only for brands like Samsung and LG/Nexus. The forthcoming models Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone X will both have the technology built in. Newgen will take advantage of the opportunities to distribute the most attractive wireless chargers, portable wireless chargers and wireless desktop stands.

IFA Berlin

Newgen attended the IFA fair in Berlin to keep updated on what's new. We met both existing and new potential vendors, learned more about new launches together with our customers and discussed future business opportunities in the Nordic market. Below Patrik is seen together with the Homido team and prototypes of new light-weight VR-glasses that won't feel as heavy as standard pairs. A good thing is also that forthcoming models will be able to wear with regular glasses! Also August, purchaser at Clas Ohlson. 

Topploppet 2017

We got a request from our vendor Fitbit to promote and sell Fitbit at place at Topploppet 2017 the 16th of September, a race arranged by Bonnier and held yearly. Newgen's Product mananger Patrik joined the event to handle counter and prize-giving to the two winners that came at second place, together with Jennifer from Fitbit's retail-team. A sunny day with many new customers, introduced to what Fitbit can offer for their wellbeing.
