Ngenic Tune, Smart Thermostat to partner with smart homes from Yoga systems. Thanks to initiative from Intel IoT Ignition lab Stockholm.

Intel has facilitated the integration of the two services Yoga systems and Ngenic Tune service to be able to offer an open smart home platform based on intel’s proven technology. The benefits for the companies are to go broader on the expanding market

“We are for seeing a totally new demand in the business cases towards the homes, But they are often creating technology Silos”says Intel’s head of edge cloud change, Johan Falk who also is manager of the Intel IoT ignition lab. “Service offerings such as Yoga systems and Ngenic Tune benefits a lot of the possibility to share infrastructure and that’s much easier when using Intel technologies.”

Yoga Systems has developeda revolutionary cloud-based IoT platform for smart homes and smart building automation. Yoga systems has an Intel Quark based secure gateway called Tiny which enable the next generation of secure Smart home Systems.

Ngenic will also support the Yoga platform. The integration will make it possible for Ngenic to increase their service offering with more smart home services and for Yoga the added Ngenic service expand the existing service package with an attractive heating control service.

The Ngenic Tune eco-driving solution for heating systems is proven in installations around Sweden and substantially increases the comfort for building owners and at the same time it is possible to create massive collaborative smart grid Solutions. Ngenic is currently addressing the Swedish heat-pump market. Northern Europe is one of their first targets in this expansion phase.

This joint effort will enable utilities and telcos to provide smart home solutions world wide, with not only security and domestic control services but also letting the systems take part in collaborative smart grid that is essential to the new power grid’s that is need solve our sustainable future.
