Nordisk Vindkraft presents wind farm construction experience in cold climate at Winterwind 2012

Nordisk Vindkraft will be presenting experiences on the engineering challenges related to the design and construction of wind turbine foundations in sub-arctic conditions at the international wind energy conference Winterwind 2012, February 7-8 Skellefteå, Sweden. A pilot study has been conducted supported by the Swedish Energy Agency (Energimyndigheten) with the purpose of sharing gained experiences from Havsnäs wind farm (95,4 MW) located in the Swedish county of Strömsund, Jämtland.

Results will be presented in a report showing that it is possible to construct wind farms in colder climates if the right analysis is provided and the design criteria have been followed. Participants at the Winterwind conference will be able to meet Nordisk Vindkraft Project Engineer Mr. Anders Bernholdsson and his team. The report is available on the web and will also be distributed at the conference.
