Jessica Falk - Press release in English

On October 5th Swedish artist Jessica Falk will release her new single and music video ”Ready To Fly”in connections with her United States tour later the same month.The single which was recorded at Addiction Studios in Nashville with her long time producer Scott Baggett.

The studio is owned by Jonathan Cain from the rock group Journey. “Ready To Fly” was written by Jessica along with David Kalmusky (Journey, Keith Urban and Neil Schon) and Scott Baggett (Alison Krauss, John Waite, Bonnie Raitt and others). Also featured on the single is drummer Chad Cromwell. Cromwell is known for his work with Neil Young, Joe Walsh, Dave Stewart, Chris Isaak, Mark Knopfler, Diana Krall and many others.

The song's lyric contains a vital message to be open and loving but do not let them mistake kindness for weakness. "Rise above the ones that will talk bad of you and steer your life wherever you want it to go. It's your journey and nobody can take it away. Everything has its time and when the time is right, you will know when to take the step into your future” says Jessica. Musically “Ready To Fly” features a tougher sound with influences of Pink, ZZ Top, Joan Jett and a hint of country.

In the music video, released in conjunction with the single, some 70 motorcyclists participated in a bikers tour of the village of Anundgård. The concept for song and video grew over the past few years through various events in the town, which sometimes caused Jessica and her family to feel as though they lived as characters in the movies "Like In the Sky" and “House Of Angels”.

The previous single was the ballad “Make A Change” (2017), which Jessica recorded as a duet with her daughter RockyLi. Since 2015, Jessica has been an ambassador for The Brain Injury Fund and the song was written about their experiences. The song has reached the United States with the message to not judge people on the outside and to spread knowledge about the consequences of mild brain injuries for the affected individual. This can especially be traumatic for children. The song has been heard extensively on radio internationally as well as in Sweden, with plays in the United States, New Zealandand othercountries. The music video for “Make A Change” was edited by RockyLi and has now reached over 60,000 views.

In mid-October, Jessica, with her family, travel to Michigan and Wisconsin for the "Make A Change Tour". There will be 6 gigs there. On stage, Jessica will have her good friend and Dolly Parton's former music director and harmony singer for many years, Lea Jane Berinati Burie.

Upon finishing the tour in the north, Jessica will travel to Nashville where she will begin new recordings. Producer Scott Baggett says;
“It’s been my pleasure to work with Jessica now for over 5 years. Every time we get together to write and record she brings endless amounts of energy and talent. Sweden is lucky to have her as asinger/songwriter/speaker. I’m glad the rest of the world are getting to hear what she has to say. It is a powerful message”.

”Jessica Falk will soon be coming to Michigan and Wisconsin, USA, for her "Make A Change" tour. It has been our pleasure to work with her previously in Nashville, TN. She is an amazing singer, musician and songwriter! Jessica's inspirational music is surpassed only by her loving heart.”
