Pressmeddelande -

On the 28th of March, humans will be forcefully deported to Afghanistan from Sweden

On the 28th of March humans, will be forcefully deported to one of the most dangerous countries in the world.

In the Swedish Migration Board's detention center in Kållered several Afghan citizens are now awaiting their deportation to Afghanistan. People in other detention centers in Sweden are now being moved to Kållered to be deported.

Per information that has come to the movement #vistårinteut a forced deportation will take place on tuesday 28th of March when a flight will leave for Vienna airport at 21:50 from Landvetter airport for onward deportation to Kabul.

The Swedish Migration Board's legal position on the 8th of December 2016 states that there is inner armed conflict in all of Afghanistan. On February 8 six Red Cross workers were killed in Afghanistan. The Swedish Afghan Committee are closing its schools in Afghanistan. The Taliban took over the district of Sangin on the 23rd of March this year. The Administrative Court of Appeal/ Migration High Court describes the situation in Afghanistan in March 17 in the following way:

"The violence and atrocities that children risk exposure to in this country is of such character that it must be considered as inhumane and degrading treatment. Due to the extent of these atrocities, the situation in the country and when the child lacks family, relatives or other form of network as well as lack of knowledge about the country there is such an individual and specific risk that the child will be exposed to abuse that subsidiary protection should be granted".

The forced deportation will be executed despite the seriously worsened security situation in Afghanistan. The movement We can’t stand this anymore strongly opposes that Sweden forcefully deports humans to one of the most dangerous countries in the world; Afghanistan.

We will take part in a peaceful demonstration in front of the detention center in Kållered.

The movement was jumpstarted some five months ago by 8000 teachers, psychologists, social workers, lawyers, nurses, aid workers, voluntary families and many more. We have more than 33 000 persons agreeing with us by liking our Facebook page. Please join us in the fight and show your support by liking our page so the government can see that we are many fighting for a humane cause.

The movement #vistårinteut demands

  1. That the Swedish Migration Agency immediately freezes all deportations of all unaccompanied minors and youth due to the legal uncertainty and lack of knowledge of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) which currently is predominant at the Swedish Migration Agency
  2. That our politicians grant a refugee amnesty giving asylum to all children and youth who have been in Sweden for more than a year
  3. That the state and local governments immediately stop the relocation within Sweden of thousands of unaccompanied minors and youth during their asylum process as a mean to prevent more suicides in Sweden by young refugees
