KAGAMI RESTAURANT

The group behind Occo is opening an exciting new restaurant at Drottningtorget - again. The menu is the product of an exclusive partnership with the world-renowned Nobu Japanese Restaurants.

Kagami is bringing a new and innovative culinary experience to Malmö, Sweden. The cuisine is Japanese with a South American flair. The interior has an exclusive and slightly surreal character, as opposed to the reserved minimalism typical of Japanese restaurants in Scandinavia. Here, in an imaginative atmosphere, guests can enjoy their meal with views of the open kitchen, or in a private room downstairs.

The menu is composed by eminent chef Hervé Courtot, who has helped establish Nobu Restaurants in locations such as Dubai and South Africa. Chef Courtot has a long-term relationship with Nobu Restaurants, which are renowned for inventive, contemporary Japanese cuisine.

Behind the stunning interior design are Martin Ranelid and Erik Rödstam of Grand Bureau, who have previously developed concepts for Occo, lou lou and Stockholm's Café Opera.
Instead of conventional wooden interiors, they have their own visionary take on Japanese design. Using eccentric details, the duo creates a truly original dining ambiance.

- "Our vision is to continue developing the restaurant scene in Malmö. With Kagami, we’ve paid particular attention to creating a unique dining experience that one rarely encounters in Sweden," says Meysam Javan, co-owner of Kagami and Occo.
