Historic designers contribute with design to the meeting places of tomorrow.

During the last three decades Offecct has collaborated with leading designers and architect from around the world in order to create furniture that reflects todays and tomorrows changing demands and needs, especially at working places and social meeting places. The News of 2018 includes even more knowledge and inspiration from the past, Offecct is amongst others introducing design objects and furniture by two legends when it comes to architecture - Frank Lloyd Wright and Sven Markelius.

– As we all know, people’s everyday life has changed dramatically through the digital revolution, says Kurt Tingdal, CEO, whom together with Design Manager Anders Englund founded Offecct. – Not least does it show in how people work in several different places today, at all times of the day, constantly connected to terminals or mobile units. A new living that off course put new demands on furniture and interior solutions. We want to meet and visualise this life style in our new collections”, continues Kurt Tingdal.

The novelties from Offecct are always launched at the major design fairs in Stockholm and Milan. In Stockholm Offecct are introducing new design from Thomas Sandell, Claesson Koivisto Rune, Luca Nichetto and Mattias Stenberg. New additions to the Offecct design team is the young British designer Lucy Kurrein, the German designer Maximilian Schmahl and the Italian design duo Debiasi & Sandri.

The Japanese designer Jin Kuramotos super light, bio-based chair Jin and the Swedish design duo Fronts ”meeting platform” Dune are also launched in Stockholm. Offecct are also displaying interesting upgrades from Ineke Hans and Khodi Feiz.

For Offecct 2018 is a unique year since the future oriented company also looks back and reuses architecture and design from the history. In the new, cultural initiative Edition, design and furniture created during the 1920-ies are highlighted. This year’s editions are the first out amongst further planned and it contains design from Frank Lloyd Wright and Sven Markelius. Edition is an exclusive collection and the products are only available in a limited edition.

Offecct continues its international expansion. During 2018 Offecct is opening new showrooms in Copenhagen, Rotterdam and London. The Company also sees an increase in demands from Northern America.

– Our new company structure with Flokk as our main owner has created further possibilities to expand internationally in a faster manner. Our unique offer consisting of Swedish made original design within soft seating are getting based on a stabile platform, says Kurt Tingdal.

-Continuing our expansion and our internationalisation we are also strengthening our local presence in Tibro (Sweden), where we today have our development and production.

During 2018 we are investing in the production unit in Tibro. Investments contributing to a secure, traceable sustainability and authenticity on our original products to our customers. All according to our mission and philosophy Offecct Lifecircle, concludes Kurt Tingdal.
