UNLOCK NEW VIDEOGAMING MEMORIES WITH THE LAUNCH OF REMEMBER ME

London, UK.June 4th, 2013 — Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today confirmed that the third person action adventure title Remember Me™releases today across North America and on June 7th for European territories.  Available at retail for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360® games and entertainment system from Microsoft® and Windows® PC, the title will also be available to download digitally starting from today via the PlayStation Network Store and Steam, with a Games on Demand version for Xbox 360® to follow.

Developed by Paris based DONTNOD Entertainment, Remember Me has garnered real attention since its announcement at last year’s Gamescom, receiving praise for its visual style, combat system, innovative memory gameplay mechanic and the underlying theme of loss of personal identity.

Remember Me transports gamers to 2084 and the city of Neo-Paris where, thanks to a device known as the Sensen, its citizens can now digitize their memories and then not just share but trade or sell them. These citizens are blissfully ignorant to the way that their memories are being used by the company behind the Sensen technology, Memorize, and how their overuse of technology is eroding their identity.  It is only the Errorists, led by Edge, who see the threat and, with the help of the game’s protagonist, Nilin, set about to bring the corporation down.

Former elite memory hunter Nilin has the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even remix their memories. The authorities, fearful of her knowledge and capabilities arrest her and erase her memory. After her escape from prison, Nilin sets out on a mission to recover her identity, a search that sees her turn from hunter to hunted.  On Nilin’s journey through Neo-Paris players will experience a diverse mix of combat, boss fights and platforming alongside exploration, puzzles and the unique memory remix sections.

At the heart of Remember Me’s combat system is the Combo Lab, which will appeal to both those who enjoy the intricacies of a deep combat system and the more traditional action adventure gamer. The former can delve into a system that allows for 1000’s of different combo possibilities and fine tune the combat their way, but its intuitive interface allows the latter to adapt their combos at any time during the game to best tackle any given situation.

During the game’s memory remix sections, players are able to take control of another character’s memory. They become the hand of god, exploring the memory at will, rewinding and fast forwarding to search for memory glitches that can be rearranged to create a new outcome, dramatically altering how the character reacts to a situation or person back in the game world. Expect some emotionally charged sequences as changing a memory does not come without consequences…

Also launching today on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify and other digital music platforms is the original soundtrack to Remember Me. Scored by Olivier Deriviere, the soundtrack was recorded by the Philharmonia Orchestra before being digitally processed and manipulated to produce a totally unique and immersive experience for the game.

The Remember Me soundtrack is available to purchase on the iTunes Store for $9.99.
