Royal Mail implements a new mobility solution for 76 000 PDA’s in cooperation with PocketMobile

As a part of its Parcel Transformation Programme Royal Mail is implementing a state of the art IT Solution for its field staff and customers and are investing in a completely new PDA solution. The Application is based on PocketMobile’s mobility platform, PreCom, and the implementation is done by TCS, TATA Consultancy Services. The implementation is ongoing and deployment will start in 2015.

The Parcel Transformation program is aiming at increased visibility, customer service and flexibility throughout the delivery chain. In the article below Royal Mail’s CIO, Catherine Doran, shares how the market have changed, what is required from Royal Mail and how she sees the future.
