Volunteer blog: Week 5 by Marina

Last week I went to all of the different classes here at PPG to take some photos of the staff. I was so nice to actually see what everybody is doing here. In every one of the classes I could see how engage the staff is and how much fun they have together with the children and youth.

My favorite time of the day is the afternoons when all of the children arrive to go to their different classes. The children from the Below 8 class running around while the soccer boys sit in a corner talking and laughing together. Beat of the drums from the dance class. It was nice to see the classes that I usually don’t see, like the drama class. I really enjoyed seeing them and the energy in that room was so great. I saw the BMX class in the street. It was very cool to see all the tricks they are doing. I also followed the soccer boys to the field were they practice.

This Sunday I went with the soccer boys on their excursion. We went to Green Point Park, a swimming pool in Sea Point and we had some lunch at the waterfront. It really was a day to relax and just enjoy the nice weather and each other's company.
