Ambassador Of The Month March 2014 – Charlotte Bergman

She is a hardworking and very pleasant young woman. Charlotte Bergman started helping out in Sweden with our annual auction - we recognized her right away because she really wanted to do a good job for our cause. And she did. And that is a great gift in a person, to always want to do their very best. Since then she has been helping us organizing Project Playground's visit at Gothia Cup and again helping out at the auction. Charlotte also spent time in Langa to get a greater understanding of what we do. Thank you Charlotte for being a part of Project Playground's very important puzzle. 

1. You have your own little son, what is your general reflection over the children in Langa comparing to your son and his friends. Good or/and bad?

The children in Langa has completely different opportunities to dream and develop than my son and his friends have In Sweden. For me, the words from Langa  is “Joy of Life” . A joy, curiosity, gratitude and to take the opportunities in life. The kids I spent time whit during my week in Langa always looked into all knowledge with joyfulness. It was incredibly useful for me to meet children in the same age as my son, but in a very different situation. What I learned was that with love and presence, anyone could develop into something amazing.

2. What made you, for example, spend your summer holiday to voluntarily help Project Playground during Gothia Cup?

It was a gift to see how incredible happy these children were to visit Gothia Cup here in Sweden and see their dreams come true. I think I can answer for all my friends and business partners, who had the opportunity to take care of them this summer, that this was pure happiness! The fact that so many people can be so involved in these heroes,  that they have never met before, from across the world shows what a fantastic project this is.

3. Have you learnt anything spending time with and at Project Playground?

I’ve got my faith confirmed in terms that “no one can do everything, but everyone can do something.” Never give up what you believe in and your dreams can come true. I am extremely grateful to be a part of this project. A project that gives life and a better future for so many wonderful children with different opportunities!
