QuizRR & Unil are joining forces on Foodscape, a trade fair for sustainability. Building on the successful joint project in Thailand.

Foodscape targets the food and beverage industry and has a clear goal of putting sustainability on the menu. Unil will present its focus areas within environment, health, safety and social responsibility. The collaboration with QuizRR is an essential part of Unil’s work on ensuring good working conditions in the supply chain. QuizRR offers an innovative e – learning tool for enhancing worker participation and improving workers’ knowledge base on their rights and responsibilities at the work place.

The Thailand project – Helping migrant workers
In 2017 Unil, as the only Norwegian partner, supported the start-up and development of a brand-new customised training series, that consist of several modules made by QuizRR, with focus on ethical recruitment in the Thai food industry. The project included players such as ICA, Coop, Axfood, Menigo, Martin & Servera, Norvida, CPF Denmark, SOK, Axfoundation, with support and funding from Vinnova.

Unil wanted to support this special module for QuizRR Thailand due to earlier identified challenges associated with the employment of migrant workers among producers in Thailand. The issue of migrant workers, mainly from Myanmar & Cambodia, is a persistent problem in Thailand’s food industry.
