A NEW ROOF-TOP RESTAURANT OPENS UP IN THE HEART OF THE MARRAKECH MEDINA BY THE FASHION BRAND MAX & JAN

Only a couple of weeks after the highly successful launch of their new flagship store in the Marrakech Medina, the fashion and lifestyle brand MAX & JAN announces the opening of a new cool roof-top restaurant right above the concept store.

The ethnic chic fashion and lifestyle brand MAX & JAN is the leading design brand combining Moroccan heritage and craftsmanship with international fashion and flare. The new 1200 m2 large concept store opened its doors in April and immediately attracted fashionistas, stylists, interior designers, influencers and tourists alike.

On May 12 the new stylish and relaxed restaurant, serving organic and locally sourced food with a strong vegetarian focus, will open on the roof terrace of MAX & JAN. The menu, that will change daily, consists of what the designers call “SOUL FOOD” by MAX & JAN. 

The restaurant will serve both Moroccan and international dishes during the concept store’s opening hours 10.00-19.00. The goal is to become the new hot spot in Marrakech for people interested in fashion, food and fun. The spacious roof terrace, with characteristic views of the magical Medina, will have tables for up to 100 guests.

"The vision is to create a truly unique destination for design lovers in Marrakech and to take the concept of fashion and lifestyle to a totally new level in Morocco.", says designer and founder Jan Pauwels.

The new restaurant is operated by the well-known Belgian chef-duo behind the concept “Food & Friends”, who have previously hosted much appreciated pop-up dinners.

“We will work with organic products sourced locally and change the menu daily based on what’s fresh in the market. There will be a combination of Moroccan and international flavours with a modern twist served in a fashionable setting”, explains Carlo Simons of Food & Friends.
