ABURY TEAMS UP WITH BAUR TO EMPOWER WOMEN IN THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS OF MOROCCO
Fairtrade lifestyle brand ABURY teams up with leading German e-commerce player BAUR in a unique fashion project designed to empower women to support each other.
There has been great progress on women rights worldwide. Unfortunately, in parts of the world women remain oppressed and unable to live in freedom. That’s why BAUR and ABURY Foundation teaming up for a t-shirt design contest with the idea to empower women and make a statement for women to support each other. Design or fashion students, artists and all socially conscience creatives are all welcome to participate and send in their designs no later than 31.10.2018. The design should reflect the aspect of supporting women in developing countries. The best design will be rewarded with 2000 Euro, will be realised - and the profits will be donated to the ABURY Foundation to expand their school for women in the Atlas Mountains!

The ABURY Foundation is a charity organization with the goal to support development co-operations and education in local communities. The charity offers free preschool for children, as long as their mothers also go to school, learning to read and write. The ABURY foundation is funded by Fairtrade lifestyle brand ABURY that donates 50% of its profit to this foundation.
Founded in 1925 in Burgkunstadt BAUR successfully transformed over the past 10 years from a traditional mail order company into a dynamic e-commerce player. Today baur.de is one of the top ten largest online shops in Germany. As a member of the Otto Group, BAUR is in the midst of digital transformation to become an agile e-commerce driven company. The BAUR-Group currently employs over 4,100 people and generated record revenues of 757 million euros in the 2017/2018 financial year.
