M BAB – THE NEW UNIQUE CULTURE CENTER IN MARRAKECH OPENS ON M AVENUE IN 2019

M Avenue is proud to announce that M BAB, a unique 3.000 m2 center for art and culture, will open in late 2019 on M Avenue - the much-anticipated new lifestyle destination in Marrakech.

A striking new cultural destination is being created in the heart of the upcoming M Avenue in Marrakech. This important initiative is the first of its kind in Morocco and the concept is going to be called M BAB. The Arabic word Bab is translated to “gateway” in English and this culture centre aspires to be the gateway for all kinds of arts and culture in Morocco. The vision is to be an inspiring creative hub, offering virtual ways to experience the magic and diversity of Morocco through extraordinary multimedia projections.

M BAB will also feature art exhibitions and an impressive theatre venue, showing both Moroccan and international plays.M Avenue will feature many innovative, creative and original art installations as well as have an active artist-in-residence programme, where both local and international artists will be invited to make M Avenue their new creative home.

M BAB will be operated by the French cultural outings agency Cultival that acts on behalf of prestigious establishments like the Eiffel Tower, the Paris Opera House and the Pierre Bergé - Yves Saint Laurent Foundation.

The building and the spectacular media-enhanced scenography and mind-blowing multimedia projections of M BAB are being developed by the German and Spanish team composed by spatial media specialists TAMSCHICK MEDIA+SPACE and Boris Micka Associates.

M Avenue, scheduled to open in late 2019, is a new 500-metre-long “Garden Avenue” located in the heart of Marrakech. This unique development, which is adjacent to the Four Seasons Resort Marrakech, will create a new city centre that will revitalize the city and will offer an innovative mix of properties including Four Seasons Private Residences, the Pestana CR7 hotel, shops, restaurants, cafes, offices, art galleries and exhibition venues. The vision is to become an international lifestyle destination for design, fashion, food, recreation and culture.
