TEDxMARRAKESH REVEALS FIRST SPEAKERS
TEDxMARRAKESH REVEALS FIRST SPEAKERS FOR THE 6TH EDITION WITH THE THEME “TRIBES & TROLLS”.
Building on the highly successful 5th edition the next TEDxMarrakesh event will take place on Saturday OCTOBER 21 2017 at Es Saadi Marrakech Resort. This year the theme is “Tribes & Trolls” and will be all about digitalization and how our lives are impacted by fake news, social media, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, block chain, bitcoins, psychographics etc. Where are we standing now and even more important - where are we heading to?
Today, we are living in a digitally connected, global world. But what does this actually mean? How are our lives really impacted by digitalization? Do we define our world - how are we being defined? Who are our "real" friends? What do we really "like"? What means growing up in a digital world for the next generation?
There will be high profiled and inspirational speakers from all over the world focusing on this highly notable topic and looking at “Tribes & Trolls” from different angles. We are proud to present some of the excellent speakers for the upcoming event:
- Alexander Bard (Swedish pop star, music producer, author, influencer, visionary)
- Vanessa Arelle (Mexican philanthropist, culture attaché, Vogue contributor and youth advocate)
- Richard Gutjahr (German journalist and blogger)
- Sohaila Ouffata (Moroccan-German telecommunications and media manager, director of BMW iVentures Europe)
- Dave King (British cyber and online reputational expert)
- Erika Ferrer (Swedish Ambassador in Morocco)
There will also be a young Moroccan student on the TEDxMarrakesh stage who will be selected through a student contest. More speakers and the entertainment acts will be revealed soon!
