Reebok presenterar CrossFit Invitational: Europa möter USA

CrossFit Invitational - en tävling där några av de bästa CrossFit-atleterna i USA och Europa möter varandra som lag på ExCel Exhibit Center i London den 13 oktober. Tävlingen, som direktsänds, presenteras av Reebok i samarbete med Eurosport och CrossFit Inc.

Lagen leds av vinnarna i Reebok CrossFit Games: Annie Thorisdottir och Rich Froning Jr.

Rich Froning Jr. - "I am honored and humbled to be a part of Team USA for the CrossFit Invitational.  I can't wait to compete with some of the best CrossFitters in the US, against some of the best CrossFitters from Europe.  Hopefully we can put on a good show for the community.”

Annie Thorisdottir - “'It will be so exciting to see what happens when you put some of the best athletes from two continents on teams and let them compete in such a unique competition. I am very proud to be representing Europe. I think we have a great team, but the U.S. team is very strong as well.  We will definitely be in for a showdown!”

Team Europa coachas av Jami Tikkanen – Annie Thorisdottir, (lagkapten, Island), Samantha Briggs (UK), Katrin Tanja Davidsdottir (Island), Tuomas Vainio (Finland), Mikko Aronpää (Finland), Númi Snær Katrínarson (Sverige).

Team USA coachas av Josh Everett – Rich Froning Jr. (lagkapten), Becca Voigt, Kristan Clever, Julie Foucher, Jason Khalipa, Matt Chan.

Chris Froio, Reebok VP för Fitness & Training kommenterar eventet, “I see this throwdown as The Ryder Cup of CrossFit. CrossFit is taking the very best athletes from the U.S. and Europe, putting them on teams to represent their country or continent.  I know how competitive these athletes are, and I think viewers and spectators will be treated to an amazing competition.  Hopefully it will be as exciting as this year's Ryder Cup."
