ELECTRONIC GIFT CARDS – A BOOST FOR LEKIA

When Lekia were to modernize their gift card program, they chose Retain24’s solution. Despite the fact that they launched their new electronic gift cards as recently as in February 2016, the results have shown quickly. We have spoken to Ulf Werner, profile and concept manager with Lekia, to get to know more.

Lekia used to keep traditional gift cards made of paper – they required manual handling and needed to be treated as valuables. ”Apart from saving a lot of time with the administration and the handling in stores, the low safety requirements with the new cards have entailed great advantages. When we can send the cards together with other goods from our warehouse to our store, this means simplified logistics. And being able to expose them openly in stores has also increased sales”, says Ulf.

Thus Lekia has produced displays for all their stores to be able to show off the gift cards clearly, and also produced carriers with a range of designs to attract a wider target group. They will also promote their gift cards to a greater extent than earlier, in stores and in their leaflet. ”Gift cards are flexible, and always an appreciated gift”, Ulf finishes.
