Press release -

Danish regional newspaper live on Roxen

The local newspaper Folketidende, covering Lolland-Falster in Denmark, is the latest addition to Roxen’s growing customer base in Scandinavia.

With the existing editorial system and workflow not cut out to meet the challenges of a modern media company, Folketidende was determined to put up-to-date tools in the hands of journalists and at the same time implement the most efficient workflow, all in order to serve their communities better, and deliver more content in more channels, without increasing cost.

After a thorough market evaluation, spanning over almost a year, the choice fell on Swedish SW developer Roxen to deliver the production platform for print and web, while consultants from Norwegian partner TikkTakk were employed to design and implement the most efficient workflow, utilizing a set of smart and flexible templates to allow journalists to spend more time in the field and creating more and better stories.

After a short but efficient installation process, concluding the Scandinavian collaborative project, all Folketidende titles are now live on Roxen Editorial Portal.

» With the new technology and with a workflow that allows our journalists spend more time on what counts – local content that is relevant for our readers – we are now well positioned to effectively meet current and future demands from readers and advertisers in the communities we serve », says Jan Holmboe, Folketidende’s CEO.

» In Scandinavia, Roxen already has a strong customer base in Sweden and Norway, but this is the first major local media company in Denmark to make the switch to Roxen, we are very happy to welcome Folketidende to the family and trust that many more will follow their example » Per Östlund, Roxen’s CEO, concludes.
