Prestigious exhibition at Scandinavian Photo
On March 14 the winners in the prestigious competition “Photo of the Year” (Årets Bild) was announced. The competition awards photos in a number of image categories for both professionals and amateurs, and during May and June the winning pictures will be exhibited in Scandinavian Photo in Bankeryd.
“Photo of the year” is the largest and most prestigious photo contest in Sweden, owned and organized by the nonprofit organization Press Photographers Club (PFK) since 1942.
The competition's main purpose is to promote photojournalism and skillful professional accomplishments in journalism. On March 14 the winners was announced in categories such as “news photo,” “everyday life”, “portrait” and “sports image” in the 73rd edition of the competition. Also, “Photographer of the year” was awarded to Paul Hansen (DN).
During the period May 11 to June 30, the exhibition of the winning photos will be held at Scandinavian Photo in Bankeryd.
