Shifo presents impact and transparency models at Sime

Impact and transparency was the theme of the workshop “Where does the money really go?” at Sime Social Impact, which runs parallel to the yearly event Sime Stockholm. Shifo Foundation presented its approach to focus on the most important end-user in order to reach every child with life-saving vaccinatines and ultimately make impact on a large scale. Transparency is one of the core values a at Shifo and the team has developed a transparency system - Kanelbulle, that allows transparent reporting on processes, costs and impact.

You can watch the full presentation here. The session is moderated by Maria Ros Jernberg, Secretary General from the non-profit association Swedish Fundraising Control (SFC) that monitors fundraising among the general public. Alexandra Silfverstolpe speaks about Data Act Lab, an initiative supported by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to map where aid money really goes.

Karoline Beronius from Shifo presents Shifo's approach to impact and transparency (presentation starts around 23:40 minute). With a goal of reaching every child with with life-saving vaccines, Shifo's indicator of success is the number of fully vaccinated children. You can follow the daily progress on Shifo's landing page. Shifo's Kanelbulle System (tracking and reporting system) keeps track of donations and connect the donor to the projects they support.
