Mynewsdesk elects Shifo for Social Innovation Project

Mynewsdesk recently launched the Social Innovation Project to support small and growing organisations to strengthen their communication to reach their goal. Every employee on Mynewsdesk was given the opportunity to choose an organisation working with something they are passionate about. Shifo is one of the organisations chosen and receives a one-year license and support to build up communication around its activities together with a Mynewsdesk staff member.

Mynewsdesk is an all-in-one brand newsroom and multimedia PR platform. With the Social Innovation Project they want to take elected organisations' communication to the next level, they describe it as their way of  giving back to society. By contributing with core competence and tools to strengthen the communication, Mynewsdesk helps these organisations help others. 

Marie Forsberg at MyNewsdesk is passionate about influencing development in a positive way. She has chosen to work with Shifo during the Social Innovation Project. With knowledge and an inner drive to make a difference she believes all people can contribute to making positive change. She explains that working with Shifo as ‘her organisation’ gives her the opportunity to help spreading Shifo's story, to help grow the community and bring in more resources so that Shifo can develop its programs and reach out to more children. “I will also reach a personal milestone if we are successful to reach out this year. It means that I have actually contributed to improving the lives of children in other parts of the world. I am really grateful for this opportunity” says Marie.

The Shifo-team is excited about this new opportunity to developing communication and growing the community. The tool has proven intuitive and provides us with a well organised newsroom where press and the community can connect with us. Being selected for the Social Innovation Project means being able to benefit from Marie's experience and competence. "It will help us do better. I am happy that we will work with Marie who is not only experienced and knowledgeable but also so passionate about our cause. Together we will make it happen!” says Karoline Beronius, Director Communications and Development Cooperation, Shifo.
