SISP's CEO moves on to new ventures

After seven years at Swedish Incubators & Science Parks (SISP), Magnus Lundin is leaving his post as CEO.

– It has been seven amazing, inspiring and intense years at SISP. A lot has happened, and we’re now operating regionally, nationally and internationally, says Magnus Lundin.

Together with colleagues, consultants, and public authority representatives, Swedish Incubators & Science Parks has grown into a highly appreciated, proactive organization with development projects, public initiatives and events strengthening Swedish incubators’ and science parks’ position as central actors in the innovation ecosystem.

Magnus Lundin highlights the commitment and knowledge share within the SISP network, as well as the many connections to innovators and entrepreneurs, and the strong and continuously increasing dialog with multinational corporations and other key stakeholders in the ecosystem.

– I’m stepping down from my role at SISP, but I will always bring with me the engagement for the organization, and Sweden as the best ever country for innovation, says Magnus Lundin who’s now moving on as responsible for Nordic operations at a global venture firm.

The board of Swedish Incubators & Science Parks has preceded a recruitment process to find the replacement, and Kristian Wirsén is assigned as acting-CEO from March 1. Kristian Wirsén has vast experience in the field, with years of collaboration with the SISP office and the members.

– Our warmest wishes to Magnus on his new endeavours. Magnus has meritoriously developed Swedish Incubators & Science Parks from a members-driven association to an operative organization. The industry is at growth, and we are now focusing on joint efforts and building the community’s strength, says Patric Eriksson, Chairman of the board at Swedish Incubators & Science Parks.
