Sitecore Acquires Commerce Server

Today, Sitecore is pleased to announce the acquisition of commerceserver.net.

The name may be familiar to many of you, as Commerce Server, the product, has been around since early 2000, as a Microsoft product. What you may not know is that in 2012, the product was passed to
commerceserver.net (at the time known as Ascentium) for continued development
and sales. Today’s announcement brings Commerce Server into the Sitecore family
of products and their development and management team onboard as Sitecore employees.
