On the 7th of dec StayAt Gothenburg Mektagonen opens, close to the centre of Gothenburg and Liseberg.
-  We have been investigating the area for attractive spots under a couple of years. Now we have created an amazing destination for travellers that prefer a homelike environment with hotel service, says Johan Göthberg, CEO.

StayAt Gothenburg Mektagonen houses 149 hotel apartments between 31-61 sqms, all of them with kitchens where guests can prepare their own meals. Plenty of them also have a roof terrace and sauna. Offices, a restaurant, a gym and a grocery store are also to find in the building of Mektagonen.

-  The longer you stay, the better the price. That is an important competitive advantage in times when companies are readjusting their travel expenses, says Johan Göthberg.

StayAt Hotel Apartments, the only chain of hotel apartments in the Nordic region, is in a strong expansion phase and has during 2009 more than doubled its capacity in Sweden. Earlier th the chain opened new hotels in Stockholm, Malmö and Lund. The majority of the guests are business travellers appreciating a spacious more-like-home environment with a kitchen in combination with the traditional hotel service. StayAt also attract private travellers, especially families with children.
