Niklas Zennström’s Investment Company Atomico partners with SUP46

With the backing of top VCs and accelerator partners, the members of startup hub SUP46 (Startup People of Sweden) have a competitive advantage to build Sweden’s next star startups. As of today, SUP46 adds investment company Atomico to its list of partners. Atomico, founded by Niklas Zennström, co-founder of Skype, will function as one of SUP46’s International Investor Members, which means great networking opportunities with promising startups and a designated flex-desk in the Investor Space.

SUP46 gathers startups in a Stockholm-based meeting and co-working space, 54 companies are currently working side by side in the two offices. Atomico is joining companies such as MTGx, Microsoft and Northzone who have already partnered with SUP46. SUP46 has quickly become a hub for international investors – Lakestar, Index Ventures and Atomico are all International Investor Members.

Atomico has been actively involved in Stockholm’s fast-growing ecosystem for many years, having made investments in Klarna, Wrapp and Truecaller. Now it is doubling down in Sweden – one of Europe’s most exciting tech hubs. Research published by Atomico shows Stockholm has the highest number of billion-dollar companies per capita in the world after Silicon Valley, with 6.3 billion-dollar companies per million people.
