Superfront press release

“We noticed a very clear pattern among our friends and acquaintances. Almost all of them had some sort of cabinet base from IKEA that they had pimped with specially made doors from a local carpenter. Many of them even added marble tops. It was a bit like seeing Ikea dressed in Prada,” says Mick Born, one of Superfront’s 3 founders.

“We simply decided to produce fronts, tops and side panels for all of Ikea’s Pax, Faktum, Metod and Bestå cabinet bases. In addition to our line of smooth coloured fronts, we have designed several etched patterns that we really like. We have also designed a number of handles, knobs and legs that fit all Ikea cabinets. These can of course also be mounted on other cabinets. With Superfront’s wide assortment of fronts and accessories, the combinations are endless. By using robust classic materials such as marble, copper, brass and leather, our clients can put together a piece of furniture that is much more exclusive than the cost.

“We are very proud of our assortment of products. We feel confident enough to say that the look and feel of our cabinets are at least as lovely as those found on the High Street. But our customers only pay a third of the price, at the most. In some cases, even less,” says Mick Born.

ESTABLISHED A FEW MONTHS AGO.

Superfront was launched in a pop-up-store in Stockholm Mood Gallery and on superfront.com on March 15th 2013. About 30 cabinets and kitchen combinations are on display at the pop-up until october 5th when Superfront will move to a permanent showroom on Tegnérgatan 5 in central Stockholm. All sales occur via the webshop - superfront.com - and the products can now be sent to Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and the UK. “Good taste doesn’t come with money. We want everyone with good taste and style to be able to decorate without going broke. There is a democratic philosophy behind it that we like. Flat Pack Luxury is here and it’s called Superfront,” says co-founder Sander Aarts. Most of Superfront’s production takes place in Dalarna. We use the most environmentally friendly materials that we can.
