Repeted success – Vattenfall sponsors Winterwind 2015
Vattenfall AB will be the main sponsor of Winterwind 2015 in Piteå, February 2-4.
– Our cooperation with Vattenfall at the previous conference was very successful, and we are happy to work with Vattenfall again, says Ulla Hedman Andrén, project manager for Winterwind.
Vattenfall has a history going back over 100 years of constructing, generating and distributing renewable energy in cold climates.
– This is something we are proud of, and offers a lot to learn from. As the Nordic leading energy company, we are aware of our responsibility to make our contribution to transforming the energy supply system into a sustainable one.
– It is because of this commitment that Vattenfall performs research and industry development and sponsors initiatives such as Winterwind Conference, says Alberto Méndez, vice president Wind Power.

Winterwind 2015 will be held in Piteå, Sweden at Pite Havsbad during Feb 2-4.
Last couple of years the conference has attracted more then 500 delegates, mainly from Scandinavia but also participants from almost 20 countries.
The conference focus on challenges of generating wind power in cold climates, i.e. low temperatures and icing conditions. Winterwind is organized by Swedish Windpower Association.
The Swedish Wind Power Association is a collective trade organization for private persons, wind turbine owners and wind power developers. The association has approx 2 000 members, is active in Sweden as well as internationally and promotes the development of wind power.
