SYNCH HAS ACTED AS LEGAL ADVISOR TO INSTABRIDGE AB IN CONNECTION WITH ITS LATEST FINANCING ROUND BY DRAPER ASSOCIATES

Instabridge is a crowdsourced database of Wi-Fi hotspots as well as a list of known public venues that have free Wi-Fi, such as McDonald’s or Starbucks. Instabridge lets you share the details of any Wi-Fi hotspot with other Instabridge users, and provides access to Wi-Fi hotspots shared by everyone else in the community. It is available on Android, iOS and on the web.

Over 100,000 members have joined the Wi-Fi sharing community since the launch 2012. It is growing the fastest in emerging markets such as Mexico, Brazil, and India. The funding will be used to invest in growth and speed up the roll out of its app in more markets.

The investment round was led by Draper Associates with Silicon Valley based investor Tim Draper together with participation from Balderton Capital. Drapers investment track record includes billion dollar successes such as Skype, Baidu, Tesla, Twitch, and Cruise Automation. Other existing investors include Creandum and Moor & Moor.

Synch’s team included Mikael Moreira and Ian Slettengren.

– Synch’s team made the process easy and time efficient for us founders. Mikael and Ian executed the transaction efficiently and confidently always eying the best interest of us founders and the company. The Synch team not only provides excellent to the point advice, they are also very easy to work with, says Niklas Agevik, CEO of Instabridge.
